Evangelism

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c94b1_dx9Q8
It is estimated that their are 80m christian evangelists in the United States, of which about 30m turn out for a vote in elections. It has been said that if they turn out to the polls, the election will be ultimately decided by this group of people. Many evangelists will speak about "retaking" the United States back to GOD. It is true that children in evangelistic christianity, along with fundamental islam and judaism are especially targeted. Becky Fisher said "They(children) are so useable in christianity." What she means is that children will easily believe anything their parents or pastors or superiors tell them. Therefor they grow up with cemented views of reality or lack thereof and narrowed minded aspirations and morals according their to religious group. The video I posted on top is a documentary. There are 9 parts all of which you should watch. This video alarms me, and reinforces the idea that these delusions of reality especially in children are most effective in political causes or a conservative political system. Many are staunch supporters of President George Bush(and might be the last of his supporters) and tend to violate the important statement made out my the countries founders of "seperation of church and state." Theologians have been trying to implement idealogies(intelligent design) into our secular school system, even the president suggested it. They speak about political canidates in church which should inturn take their privaledge of tax exemptions away, however that is rarely done. Many speak about how Bush has some kind of divinity and has done right by invading the heretic state of Iraq. Do you think the American Republican Party has been overtaken by fundamentalism or visa versa? Could you find examples of this type of society in other parts of the world?

This video is alarming, I have never seen children so committed to what they believe. It is kinda of scarry. They are usable and can be brainwashed to do whatever their parents or spirtual leaders want. With this said, it does appear the the Republican Party has been overtaken by fundamentalism. I don't know much about Islam, but I believe this is a good example.
