Decaf vs Real Coffee
I suffer from migraines so my doctor told me not to drink coffee, and recently my mom bought me the decaf version. I think it sucks. I was wondering who from this class likes coffee (besides mrs. Chapman) and if any of you actually like decaf?
I enjoy coffee, and usually drink expresso, usually I prefer to drink puertorican coffee because it has a more appealing taste than american coffee. However I will be honest: I drink more hot chocolate than I do coffee.
I could never acquire a taste for coffee. I get my caffiene intake from Diet Coke. However, all my friends that drink coffee by the gallons will only drink regular. They can't stand decaf.
I like decaf. I usually only have one cup per day. The caffeine in regular coffee gives me the jitters and I have heard, it contributes to breast cancer. So, I am glad they created decaf.
I actually work in a coffe shop downtown and I love to drink it! I drink all kind of coffee, but I have actually never had Decaf. My manager suffers from headaches too, and he actually drinks coffee to make it go away.
I very rarely drink coffee, but would never drink decaf. When I do break down and have coffee it is only for the caffeine. I can not image drinking it because I enjoyed the taste. I assume it is like wine though and is an acquired taste. May I suggest trying a more sugar and cream? Good luck with your search to find a good decaf and your migraines.
I enjoy the Blue Mountain coffee from Jamaica and Kona from Hawaii. Because of the NA beer comment I looked up how to decaffinate coffee. I knew the beer is heated to release the alcohol which boils at a lower temperature and that effects the taste. The Guniess brewers make a NA beer that actually tastes like beer. Guiness is a very strong brew with a thick charcol taste, it has a strong flavor that is difficult to boil away. You might look for the strongest flavor beans in a decafe or Wikipedia mentions Arabica coffee that is naturally low in caffine. I not sure which way will work best but I would just keep trying until you find an acceptable brew.

If forced to drink decaf I'm not sure whether I would continue drinking it as I've heard the taste is very different.

REAL Coffee, dont be ridiculous!!
I drink coffee every morning to get my morning started, gives me that extra jolt I need to get the day going.
Decaf would not do that for me so I don't see why they would even create it. You drink coffee for the caffeine kick.
It's the same with odouls, why put up with beer taste if you can't get the alcohol from it.
I personally hate coffee, but when i campared the tastes of regular versus decaf, i couldn't tell.
