Gun Control
I am a firm believer in gun control and I am totally against what the government has tried to do to the second amendment. I am against the people that blame a simple tool for the evil of man. I have myself own many different types of firearms and plan on getting many more throughout my lifetime. I am just curious to see what people think of gun control and any other feelings towards firearms in general.

I totally agree that guns aren't the reason people get killed. If there was no such thing as a firearm people would find away to hurt other. We have the right, as Americans, to bare arms and for the government to try and take away or change a right that was given to us, is just wrong.
The truth is, people kill people. I have never owned a gun in my life, but with the crime rate rapidly growing, I am giving it some serious thought. We all have a right to protect ourselves.
hockey17The Navy has great gun control, blasted that satilite with one shot.
I agree with you pmoten people do kill people and I think people school be required to take an anger management class in otrder to have a gun.I personally do not want one at all.
Using the 2nd amendment to defend gun ownership is a scam.
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
You'll notice that it mentions being part of a militia which is a small organized group similar to the military.
However I do support gun ownership in certain contexts and think that a new ammendment should be drawn up that takes into account new weaponry available that our nation's founders could not have have taken into account of in 1775
Well man I think we should have gun control. It's a good way to prevent future crimes. Really why do you need a gun for?. The reason people carry firearms is to protect themselves. I being here in this country 10 years and I never thought you needed a gun to walk around. I was raised in the Bronx, N.Y were life is real dangerous and I still believe that over there you don't need a gun to protect yourself unless you a drug dealer or a thieve, but I do respect your opinion though.
I agree that guns arent to blame for people getting killed. In countries where guns arent allowed there are still many cases of murder through the use of knives or other weapons. If guns were to be taken out then there would just be another weapon to replace it in crimes. I think the best solution is to have more detailed background check on people trying to get guns.
I agree, we all should have the right to bear arms and protect ourselves. Whether owning a gun is legal or illegals criminals will always be able to get to them. I moved here from California which makes it impossible for you to own a gun but still criminals are able to obtain them, so I wouldn't call that a sucess when the only people able to have guns are criminals.
All the activists say go after the gun makers for all the killings. In that case, go after Ford and Chevy for everyone that dies in a wreck. Go after Bud and Corona for all the alcohol overdoses. I too own many guns, and thats my right. A gun is not a dangerous object like many say it is. Its the person holding the gun that makes it dangerous. Everybody knows how a gun goes off, and its not designed to do it on its own.
