Illegal Immigration in the United States

Illegal immigrants come to the U.S ,by land, air, water and overstayed, and dispuste in consequenses such as economic, education, social welfare, healthcare, and more. According to New York Times, May 2006, 53% reaction from public that "illegal immigrants mostly take the job Americans don't want." April 2006, NBC/Wall Street Journal concluded 61% of the U.S population would like them to stay if they "could pass a security and pay tax." For example, illegal Vietnamese recently, who are overstayed, face to being departed. The U.S. government pay for their tickets. What are your best suggestions for this social issue that has been going on for decades?

first of all i want to say that...we do pay taxes.

and second, it might not have alot to do with the topic...but i think that the few of us that really came here to be successful and want to have a better future should definitely be allowed to receive at least financial aid in college, after all, our parents do pay taxes. And it's not fair to see a student graduating from High School here with straight As and Bs and not be able to receive financial aid because he/she is illegal and must pay the $4,000 tuition

Hi Kathy, this is a hard subject. The only thing I could suggest is to make the wrong right. If you are illegal, you must start over and follow the process for entering the country legally.

montenp, similarity with the same sex marriage, illegal immigration in the U.S. is an apparantly unsolable problem.

I collect ideas from my co-workers, some of them say that "make them legalize since they are already here." The others say that "they need to go back to their homeland."

i'm agree with alexandra , we do pay our taxes i know some people don't but that doesnt mean everyone refuses to pay their taxes, in other hand the goverment should do something with students that are illegal but have better grades than a people who has papers. I dont really think thats fair
