Homeland security levels

Most of we, patriotic citizens have no clue what our homeland security alert system signifies, let know what the color codes mean. I found this guide that could help remedy the situation at the link below. God Bless America!

I have been introduced to the alert codes before because I work in a Federal Building. I don't remember what the represent, it's been a while since we had an emergency drill. But, I think I will research the website more and make a note of them. Thanks.

I think that this is an awesome post. This encourages others to find a reason to know and be informed. So many of our fellow neighbors dont even know what it would be like to live ikn a country to have no system put in place like this. Thanks for the great post and the encouragement for others!

I do think that everyone is intitled to know the security level, but i also think that knowing might make some of so paranoid and unstable.

oh come on people. Let's get real here. Do you really think that threat level was put in place to give America warnings about possible terrorist attacks? Well the answer is yes, but if you feel fear from it, than they've GOT YOU! The only thing we have to fear is fear itself. What's a good way to efficiently control a society? Give them fear until they take the bait. And once taken, they've been sufficiently brainwashed.

I agree with Ryan. It's kind of like having a siren for rain when we only need it for tornadoes.

It's well documented that the alert codes were used to persuade us to accept the war.

When it was going on: Yellow one day, Orange the next, I remembered that it's against the law to yell fire in a movie theater (as a joke) or joke about having a bomb in the airport.

Why do we need a code; why not have the President tell us if there's a good reason to be alarmed or (and this was funny) a good reason to put duct tape on our windows.
