presidential race

So with all these candidates for the upcoming election who do you think should be the future president? What event do you think will make this election stand out most to you and the people around you?

I live in the state of apathy.

I'd get up and leave but don't see how it would change anything...

I am not sure that any of the people running should get in. It is getting to the point that it doesnt matter who is running. All the choices are getting to be bad.

I agree with aaron, it's very slim pickings this election. The democratic party has a rare competition: a black candidate and a female candidate. This country has come a long way. I am in a dilemma, should I even vote?

I like Ron Paul but his issues with not wanting to fully seperate church and state bother me.

I think Kucinich and Barrack are the most honest and straightforward on the democrat side but Kucinich has like 0% chance of getting elected and Barrack does seem a little young and untried for the job.

I also dislike Barrack Obama's name. He used to go by the nickname Barry.

Barry Bama would be even better. I think it has a real nice ring to it.

Seperate? No. Bring them in. I mean tax them, every other business is subject to taxation.

I am going to support Obama, not simply because he black, but he is running for president not lobbying for another corporation.

For obvious reasons, some of our brightest men and women don't run for President. This time we do have some smart people running. You make like them, you may hate them, but you can't deny they aren't smart.

I think the people who aren't so smart are us, the voters. We pick people because we like them. We don't spend enough time looking at their record, examining who their closest friends are, and asking them tough questions.

Finally, they have to know that once in office we will hold them accountable. I want them to think about me, my family, my state, and my country every day.

This is the first election I've been eligible to vote in due to my age. I've really picked up an enthusiasm for it that I wasn't expecting. I'm still learning about what issues to be concerned about and what candidates are addressing them in a manner to which I am suited.

I think McCain has the experience necessary to hold office. I don't agree with everything he says and time will surely tell.
