My family tries to convince me that I should trade in my Mac for a computer that is Windows compatible, and I always refuse. What do you guys think? Macintosh? Windows?

Windows vs. Macintosh
I am the proud owner of an Apple computer and I wouldn't trade it for the world. However, I am tired of seeing pop-up messages saying "Not Compatible with Server". I probably receive that message once a day. It is so irritating!!!! BUT......Apples are so much easier to navigate, not to mention the awesome design of the desktop.

I totally say Macintosh!!!!!!!!!! I know that a lot of people think that windows its better, but in my opinion that’s not true... I love apples specially because for a graphic designer a Mac its so useful, I’m not a graphic designer yet but I do a lot of videos, presentations, etc. for my church so Mac do this work so much easier.. In addition don’t even worry about what people say if you are comfortable with a Mac well it’s your decision also technology it’s getting better and soon all the programs will be compatible with Mac.
THANK YOU!!! Finally someone who understands!!!! YES!!!!!
....i think theres apple computers dat r windows compatible if u rell love the apple design..personally never in my life have i worked with an apple.
the anonymous was me btw
Well I can shed some light on the matter because I work with computers and different operating systems as my job. MAC is a good OS (operating system) but it only excels with graphical items. If you are not going to be doing pictures or video editing for a living it is not worth owning a MAC. Most everything out there is incompatible with a MAC which makes it a very annoying OS. Windows is better for business's and just about anything else you will need. In the end they are both great OS's but it is all dependent on what you need and what you are doing.
VERY VERY true
I have Windows, I've always had Windows. It is really a great program, I have to say. Basically, I know next to nothing about computers/programs, but I like to learn about it. Windows seems to play off of the old fashoned appeal. They think they are already established, so they don't have to have much advertising appeal. Windows is very easy to use, but really ugly. Macintosh plays on very retro looking advertising, which is very appealing to alot of people. When I go to my recording studio, they run their programs on Mac. The Mac design looks so clean, crisp, and sharp. I think that's why they've had alot of success in the high tech society of today. Windows is having a real dilema now. Vista runs horrible! At least Mac has the same efficient programs.
The new version of the mac OS actually contains an option to start in windows vista ( for intel based mac computers ). Its worth checking out if compatability is an issue for you. I havent used it yet, but is installed on one of our mac laptops at home ... im not a big mac fan though.
" Boot Camp, a software assistant for the installation of other operating systems such as Windows Vista to a separate partition (or separate internal drive) on Intel-based Macs. "
