Abortion by Jonathan Collado
Abortion can be seeing by many as one of the worst thing to ever done. For others it can be option depending on the situation. For the rest is just another topic in which they don't want to take part of. I Just want to know your side on this topic. I know it is a strong topic to talk about so don't feel pressure to answer.

I think the key to the abortion debate is that the Jehovah derived religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam) believe in the human soul but not in reincarnation so to them aborting a child is stealing its one chance at existing.
I don't believe in the soul but believe deeply that one shouldn't cause unnecessary suffering to any being.
Experts that I find reputable have found that fetuses develop the ability to sense pain at 7 months.
If I were to enforce my personal ethics on others any abortion up to the 7 month point would be legal. After that it would require a special reason like danger to the mother or the baby had a severe defect.
I think that abortion should be illegal. Put yourself in that childs position.....would you want to be "termintaed"? youre here you should thank God that you were not "aborted" every child has the right to life thats if your a year old or a day. I think the best way to look at it is this, If you dont want to have a baby dont have sex....adults have to make adult decisions .....if having a baby is what you have to do because of your decisions then so be it....there are plenty of alternatives to aborting a child. Adoption, foster care, or how about RAISING YOUR CHILD!
It's interesting you mention the "put yourself in the fetuses place" argument.
Because I almost was and at the last minute she changed her mind.
If I had been her friend I would have told her to do it.
I wish she had finished college rather than be a single mother working and barely making it.
I enjoy life but that doesn't mean it couldn't have been better for another child 3 or 4 years later.
Abortion should be illegal because it is very inhumane. The way they do it is disgusting and wrong. Also it teaches most girls that they can go off and have sex and if they get pregnant they can just have it aborted. This is wrong and for those who get raped they can still put it up for adoption after it is born. I just think it is worng and it should be stopped.
Well I’m in both sides abortion its wrong and I’m agree with Aaron about the fact that girls can think that if they got pregnant it’s so easy to go have an abortion and end of the problem, but also what happens if the baby have a deformation or some kind of problems would you let them suffer all their life or would you have an abortion?
I am on both side of the debate. I do think aboration should be legal if the right cases. I feel that if a women get rape or know that she will have a child with a birth defect then yes she should have the right to choose to have an aboration. But on the other hand if a teen get pregnant no abortion should not be her method of birth control. I feel that a lot of young lady make those choices without thinking about the long term affect of it. I also agree with Rob in saying that abortion past 7 months is wrong. I go back to say abortion past 4 months is wrong.
I believe abortion is an option that every woman should have. I also believe in no way, should it ever be used as a form of birth control, but instead a way to prevent excessive measures that could otherwise be taken by a desperate female. Why should this decision be supervised or decided on, by anyone other than the one person that will have to deal with all the consequences? Abortion should never be something our government or other people’s beliefs should play a part in. I’m sure no one wants to think about a 12 year old girl being forced to have a child that could be a result of incest, rape or some other terrible event.
With abortion being so accessible to everyone, I think it is easy for some people to use it as a form of birth control. This is wrong, and other changes need to be made in one's life if they keep ending up in that situation.
On the other side of the fence, I fear that making abortion illegal will open it up to the black market. "Dirty" doctors will be performing abortions regardless, and it will be more dangerous for all those involved.
In my opinion, the government should regulate abortions to make it less accessible to everyone to prevent it from being used as a form of birth control. However, I don't agree with outlawing it completely.
I myself am an adopted child, therefore I more than anyone am quite aware of how close to death I was as I was forming in my mother's womb. And while I agree that abortion is wrong, there are certain times when it is a neccesary evil.
There was a case in Puerto Rico once; a man harbored incestuous desires towards his daughter and got her pregnant. Even worse was the fact that the mother was aware of this and did nothing to stop it from happening.
The church argued that the child should not be aborted but the doctors said it was better to do so, for the sake of the girl-mother, who ran the risk of dying AND taking the unborn child with her, if they didn't abort it.
I use to be against it and then at times I was for it ... but a friend of mines made a very good point some days ago. I'm so against it. You knew the consequences when you laid down and allowed him to NOT use a condom. In some cases, the condom may break but from the females I here from, it's because no condom was involved. They see nothing wrong with not using one, besides the STDs, but they see no reason in using condoms. To me thats a sign they want a baby. So if you're grow enough to make that decision to not use a condom then you're grown enough to handle your responsibilty. There are cases where an abortion is acceptable, for the ones who aren't using protection must deal with their consequences.
