I'm such a jerk on this but I feel like congressional hearings on issues like this are a complete waste of their time and is just a way for them to distract us from important issues.

Let's measure his head. Look at him when he started baseball and when he started winning those cy young awards.

When baseball players play at a high level of intensity in their 40's, there's a likihood that they're using.

Do you play fantasy baseball?

I think that the steroid use is something just cover up what is really going on. Professional wrestlers have been using them for years and the only time I've heard about it publicly is when Chris Benoit murdered his family. The government cannot solve personal issues. Clemens wants to be remebered for one thing, The Hall of Fame...

No Fantasy Baseball, but I have tickets for a couple of Spring Training games during Spring Break.
Smoltz is an exception to the over 40 intensity and usage issue. I would like to see him as a motivational speaker when he retires.
Congress is always wasting their time and our money.

i think that whether Clemens is guilty or not you have to make the punishment fair across the board......i think hes getting thrown into the lions den so to speak because he is a hall of famer. Maybe im wrong but im hoping that this will all calm down and that the MLB can focus on making the game what it is supposed to be......FUN!

According to the news lately, the man that made the accusations against him had to apologize. Apparently his "sources" gave him the wrong information. Besides who is this guy anyways? What link does he have with professional baseball? Its my understanding that he is some washed up senator.

Many legendary baseball players have been known of using steroids, but I don't know enough information to accuse Clemens of being guilty.

In my opinion it's way too early to pass judgment. Having said that, now that it's big news there are alot of people who are coming out of the woodworks to accuse him. Why now? if they were so sure he was juicing why didn't his name come up when some other very prominent Yankees were on trial.
